I have not even been married yet let alone be in the position to be divorced but to me I would consider divorce a personal failure on my part but I bet I am alone in this respect, right? Sure, for a relationship it takes two people to make it work but I am just the kind of person who blames myself even when it is not my fault as maybe I could have tried harder or listened more or done more to make it work. Divorce in Thailand is commonplace in certain areas as people get married due to circumstances such as the women is pregnant outside of marriage (severely frowned upon in Thailand) or it is a teenage pregnancy (again, severely frowned upon). But when a divorce in Thailand is decided upon breaking up can still be hard to do for whatever reason.

I have not been in many relationships in my life (three if you must know) but I try to make it work for as long as I can because it takes a lot of time and effort to make a relationship to work and I feel bad if I do not put 100% in to everything I do but sadly others do not feel the same way as I knew one couple who married and divorced within a month which was sad to see.
Suffice to say I never wish to experience divorce in Thailand or any other country and I wish those all the best because it really is the last resort, try talking things through first and you can be surprised at what you can achieve. Divorce is like war, the last resort and there are always casualties and sometimes it is best to just not think about it in the first place.
